More about me
There's a version of you that shows up differently depending on who's in the room. You adjust, edit, and manage: how much to share, which parts of yourself are safe to bring forward. Over time, that kind of vigilance takes a toll. It can look like people pleasing, burnout, or a quiet sense that you've never quite fit the spaces you've been moving through.
I work with clients who are ready to slow down and look at what's underneath that. Together, we'll explore how the relationships and environments you've come from have shaped the way you move through the world now, and use that as a foundation for understanding who you are beneath the pressure to perform, please, or freeze. Some weeks that might mean finding coping tools for what's happening right now. Other weeks we go deeper, looking at patterns, processing grief, or untangling feelings that are hard to name. For clients open to the non-traditional, I incorporate creative techniques like art and sandplay to help access what's difficult to put into words.
This type of work requires a strong therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client, as revealing such intimate parts of who you are isn't an easy process for many. I encourage potential clients to interview therapists, myself included, for who they feel most at ease with. If we work together, my first priority is to build a foundation of trust and safety that enables safe and open communication. You are always the expert on your own experience.
