Emerson Black
As a mental health counselor, I strive to create a space of warmth, trust, and genuine connection where people feel truly heard. I honor each client as the expert of their own experience, walking alongside them with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for their resilience. I specialize in working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+, trans, and neurodivergent clients ages 18+.
My passion is supporting those navigating the complexities of life, helping them reclaim their strength and sense of self. I have had the privilege of working with clients from intersectional backgrounds, tailoring therapy to their unique experiences with a foundation in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), relational therapy, and trauma-informed care.
I am committed and honored to be a steady, affirming presence as my clients process, heal, and build lives filled with meaning. If you are interested in receiving individual or group counseling, please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.
